I think for a while now, I’ve had a feeling gnawing at me that it’s naive and wrong to assume a sense of fairness, honesty, and competence among people. These traits are rare. There is no realistic way to argue against such an obvious observation. Honest and intelligent people have sadly been the exception and not the norm. Decent and competent people are rare.
I don’t know where I am going with this. I think it’s finally time to stop being naive and assume the worst in people unless genuinely shown otherwise.
